Why blame Sun on a
summer day
when a sheet of
dark clouds obstructs
its rays from reaching us.
Why blame stars and
moon on a
summer night
when dark clouds spreads
their cover over us
building obstacles to-
sending their rays
of light from reaching us.
Why blame a monsoon day
when dark clouds spreading
dusky blanket
all of a sudden
plays a vanishing trick and Sun
makes his appearance
showering rain of fire on us.
Why blame a monsoon night
when dark clouds
weaving an opaque cloth
below them fades away
paving an outlet
for the stars and
moon
enabling them to
spread their rays of
light reaching us.
Sun, moon and stars never
strike work like us - human beings bringing
life to a standstill.
They are from
time immemorial
duty conscious and punctual
they won’t get tiresome
angry and protest
by shutting down their business.
They always give us in
abundance,
never take back anything from us
in return.
They are life givers
they are not life takers.
