YESTERDAY
Their unlimited
unfathomable sea
of love to each other
overwhelmed them
elevated them
to a plain of
rejoice
until death did them
part
that was yesterday’s story.
TODAY
Today, it’s shallow
hollow
superficial
similar to that of
a barren land
where only handful of flowers bloom
without the fragrance of love
even beetles turning
away from them
and love-making
but simple animal transaction
where the practice of
changing robes frequently
like that which
being exhibited in an
entertainment film
which is today’s story
where marriage is
made in hell.
