The day on which
she gave birth to
her new born baby
was the happiest day
in her life.
The feeling of
being a mother was
enthralling and inebriating.
The excruciating labour pangs and pleasure
she experienced were
inexplicable to say the least
while the baby was
sucking her breasts
with a beaming smile
with affection, care and fondness
her eyes were passing over the ‘delight’
the priceless jewel bestowed upon the couple.
Her hand ran over the rose petal like
tender, soft skin of the baby.
Her husband who
was sitting beside
her with the pride
of being a father
for the first time in his
life was glancing
both
at her and the baby
with an ecstatic feeling
which was beyond words to explain.
Both of them felt
like dancing together
to celebrate the arrival
of the ‘JOY’ of their life….
