A DICTATOR’S PATHETIC END

The prolonged period of
darkness gone with the wind
with the pathetic end of
the ruthless dictator
who consecrated himself
the ‘King of Kings’
who called the nation
his personal fiefdom.
The ruthless dictator
mercilessly dragged out of
a drainage pipe
and shot at point blank
and hooked to a truck.
The truck speeded along
bruising him all the way
till he breathed his last
before thousands
who rejoiced, celebrated and went
euphoric.
But sir,
could we say everything
has gone along the right path
could we say the Sun
of democracy has shone
while the nation is in a
fluid state.
How long the euphoria last?
Any idea?
The dust of euphoria will have to settle down
one day for sure
the fluid situation won’t
continue, sure.
Someone will come forward
to take over the mantle,
sure
whether he too will have
a streak of a
dictatorial tendencies in his genes
no one thinks that far.
All are drowned in the
rejoicings and celebrations
over the end of the wretched
dictator for the time being.
