UNCERTAIN TIMES

In the cool ambience of

the air-conditioned privacy

shut from behind

seated on the sofa

glued to each other

both searching each other’s eyes

they seemed to share

thousand secrets.

He knew her well

She knew him well

each aware of the not

so glossy past of the other

both sat silent for ‘ages’.

Now that

erasing the hazy past

both have already entered

into an unwritten pact

to settle for life as man and wife

for the rest of their life.

Though but how long? that was beyond

each other’s grasp.

always remain uncertain
