Heralding a new dawn
a dove
a harbinger of love and peace
with olive leaves between its beaks
flies in from somewhere and perch on the shoulders
of mankind
on your shoulder
on my shoulder
on everyone’s shoulder.
Dreams aside
will it be possible in the
midst of this chaotic world?
I don’t think so….
Still we
continue to hope against hopes
one day surmounting
all obstacles on our way atop
we could hoist the flag of love and peace
atop the world…..
