in all its pageantry
spending millions and millions of pound sterling
while on another corner of the world
millions are perishing day by day
minutes by minutes, seconds by seconds
for want of food, diseases and deprivation
with none coming to rescue
them
from the clutches of
hunger, malnutrition and displacement.
