Like proverbial
Rip Van Winkle
they awoke from
deep slumber after a
prolonged period.
To their shock, indignation
and disillusionment
they saw the citizens
across the nation
leading a life of
delight, satisfaction and prosperity.
The camaraderie prevailing
among the masses was
anathema to them
and with determination
they dispersed to every
nook and cranny of the country
and with renewed vigour
and strength embarked
on their mission of
blowing off the flame of
delight, prosperity,
satisfaction and optimism of the citizens.
Wreaking havoc all the way
by engaging on a killing spree
and devastating the valuable properties
thus terrorizing the masses
who out of fear hesitated
to come out of their shells.
They always wanted to see
and enjoy their sadness, gloom and
their sense of insecurity
reflecting on the faces of the masses
as the very sight of
happiness, satisfaction and prosperity
was anathema to them.
