THIS WORLD

Through the dark corridors
of life
we pass by each day
sans recognizing each
other.
No formal or informal
introduction, no smiles
no hand shakes.
Through the dark corridors of
life
we pass by each day
sans recognizing each
other.
Neither do we hear
anything,
Neither do we care anything
Neither do we love anything
Neither do we shed tears over anything.
Through the corridors of
life
we pass by
sans recognizing each other.
How long it would take
for this dirty ice of
coagulated darkness
to melt.
How long it would take
for the first rays of
Sun caress
our eyes like a
mother’s caress and
embrace.
We know not
We will never come
to know.
Perhaps the next
generation may emerge
blessed
perhaps
yes, perhaps.
Through the dark corridors
of life
we pass by each other
sans recognizing each other.
