Nowadays
on strolling along
the pavements to my office
from home,
and on visiting shopping malls
I often mistake mannequins
for ladies and gents.
In these days of mushrooming
mannequins sometimes
I wonder, often apprehend
whether one day
this city would turn a
city of mannequins outnumbering citizens.
