TEHREEK-E-TALIBAN PAKISTAN ON A KILLING SPREE IN PAKISTAN

Former Pakistan President and Army head General (Retd) Pervez Musharaf once eulogized the terror elements of his nation as ‘freedom fighters’ who were determined to liberate Jammu and Kashmir and get it annexed with Pak occupied Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir still remains a bone of contention between India and Pakistan. In the language of General (retd) Pervez Musharaf Pakistan still remains the ‘core’ issue between the two nations.
Musharaf once the all in all of Pakistani establishment is now under the custody of Pakistan who is charged with treason for usurping power and declaring himself as the President of Pakistan is under trial who stands ‘In the Line of Fire’ under the Pak govt led by Nawaz Sherif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) whose antipathy towards Musharaf is well-known.
The terror elements who were nurtured and inspired by the former Pakistani Heads turned against their godfathers, making life miserable for the govt and the innocent citizens.
Pushing back the former hard-core terror outfits like Lashkar-E-Taiba, Hisbul Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan has come to the front make life miserable for the Pakistani citizens by suicide-bombings, blowing themselves among crowds killing hundreds and devastating properties almost on a daily basis forcing the citizens spend sleepless nights who are haunted by nightmares of an uncertain tomorrow. These terror elements have turned out to be a thorn in the flesh of Pakistani Govt which are weighing the pros and cons of dealing with these outfits either by force or by inviting them to take part in talks on a cordial note. One would wonder Pak govt inviting these elements for holding talks since the latter don’t have any agenda which believe in killing for killings’ sake.
With the mounting violence perpetrated by the Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan who went on a killing spree in quick succession giving the govt headache, Nawaz Sherif govt, ordered his paramilitary forces to launch attacks against these elements who are safely embedded in the harsh terrains of Khyber- Paktunkwa to annihilate them especially its leaders who are passing messages to their supporters and arming them with sophisticated weapons to launch strikes across Pakistan. The more than two day strikes by Pakistan to flush out the hard-core terrorists and shoot them without showing any mercy in the process a number of them perished by dealing fatal blows by the paramilitary forces which to a certain extent proved a success. But the govt couldn’t succeed in wiping out them from the soil of the nation since the terror strikes continued unabated which prompted Prime Minister Mr.Sherif to invite the terror outfits for talks.
With the US army concentrating its attention to deal with Taliban who are engaged in killing the Afghan citizens threatening the govt led by Hamid Karzai especially when the elections are approaching nearer and nearer. Taliban’s one and only game at present is nothing but to undertake strikes so as to block a smooth election process. Hence a US intervention in Khyber Paktunkwa area and target the militants safely ensconced in their havens in the hilly terrains has become inevitable.
Furthermore, with the killing of Osama Bin Laden who was spending his days with his wives and children at Abottabad, near the headquarters of Pak army, US has somewhere lost its zeal to interfere in Pakistan which is against US intervention.
The militant outfits who were once termed freedom fighters by Musharaf, then evolved into Frankenstein monsters the terror outfits are determined to strike at their will forcing governance an ardous task for Nawaz Sherif govt. Pakistan once a hotbed of terrorism and manured and nurtured by providing all logistical support and funds to take on India now find themselves the victims of the same elements.
