Rivers
of love and money
Flow parallel to each other.
River of love,
Smooth flowing, transparent,
pure, divine,
no undercurrents,
like the surface,
like the bottom.
Even the pebbles, lively fish,
visible to the naked eyes,
Even the vast expanse up above.
blue sky, moon and stars,
glittering underneath,
wash away all our sins,
make us fresh, vibrant.
River of money
muddied with selfishness,
greed, hypocrisy,
quick flowing sometimes,
zigzag course, other times,
smooth flowing occasionally
undercurrents strong, deceptive,
not visible,
the river being opaque.
Parallel course notwithstanding,
Rivers of love and money
both being powerful
two sides of the
Same coin.
Love is power,
Money is power,
Both interdependent-
for existence.
Hence,
The ring-tones in the
Mobile sets of
The rich, greedy and deceptors,
force us hear,
the music of
God’s unlimited love
on making a call.
-“Oh God the eternal fountain of love,
mercy, care
all Thee showers upon us
in abundance.”
God, after all,
of late is a
branded ‘figure’.
