HER FORLORN SONG

Somewhere in his
memory tree
one day
she built a nest
to his profuse pleasure.
He offered her
sweet fruits
and
she in turn sang
lullabies during nights
the secret pleasure
both kept to themselves
thus went on days.
One night instead of
lullabies which always
soothed his nerves
and lifted him
to profound charm
he heard her crying
loudly
but
before he reached
the spot
her cries came to an end.
Since then, he never saw
her
and he saw the
nest inhabited by
a giant bird with
irritating tone.
But his memories
always fluttered around
his most beloved love-bird
whose lullabies
flowed from afar
each night….
reminding one of a
forlorn song
