redressal of grievances of
each and every citizen
are the assurances,
‘Selective Amnesia’ a
‘blessing in disguise’ on
being catapulted to the
cozy seat of power,
come election times a transparent
gurgling stream of
memories deliberately
forgotten after winning power.
The rare moments when
the citizen turns the
king and the king turns
slave
the rare moments when
the king-turned-slave
bows down before slave-
turned-king begging alms
of votes in a coconut ‘mug’
strange are the ways
of politicians.
